Budget: $3,000
As a first step to making the Learning Communities multilingual, we proposed making August’s Learning community a fully bilingual (Spanish/English) event. This includes translation of all presentations and printed materials in addition to real time interpretation services for anyone who may need it. In addition to providing translation and interpretation, we will be recruiting for the Learning Community in both Spanish and English to encourage Spanish speaking residents to come to our event -ensuring that it will be accessible to them. At this Learning Community we would encourage Spanish-speaking presenters with translation to English. Costs include: 1) In person interpretation 2) Translation of Printed materials/Presentations Total: $3000How do our Cultures and Community Impact our Perceptions of Health and Equity?

Transportation for our Resident Leaders!
Budget: $3,000
All Health Equity Zones have resident leaders who are actively engaged in the work. Unfortunately, transportation to and from the learning community can be a barrier to coming to our event. If funded, this projects would allow for each HEZ to support the transportation costs (i.e. Uber Rides) for two resident leaders to come to the August learning Community. At this learning community, we will host a mixer so that residents from across HEZs can come together and get to know each other! Costs Include : Round-trip ride share service for 2 residents from each HEZ Total= $3000Youth Week: Inspiring Youth to Engage in Health Equity at the Learning Community
